Bonnie Once Again Becomes A Tropical Storm

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Bonnie picked up some speed Friday and is now once again a tropical storm.

At 5 p.m., the center of the system was about 285 miles east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.

Bonnie was moving to the east at 13 mph with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph.

Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Bonnie is forecast to degenerate to a post-tropical low by Saturday.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
