MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Large swells from Hurricane Cristobal are washing up on the East Coast from North Carolina through New England.
At 11 a.m., the Category 1 hurricane was 545 miles south-southwest of Halifax, Nova Scotia. It’s maximum sustained winds were estimated at 75 mph as the system moved to the northeast at 26 mph.READ MORE: Archdiocese Of Miami Updates COVID-19 School Mask Policy
Hurricane force winds extend 60 miles from the system’s center while tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 205 miles.
