Best Places For A First Date In South Florida

You finally built up the nerve to ask the girl/guy of your dreams out on a date, now comes the tough part, planning the date. There's plenty of places to go in South Florida, but any of these locales will certainly give you a great atmosphere that will have both of you relaxed and ready to get to know each other.

Table 8 is a South Florida staple that features things like sweet pea soup and salt-roasted porterhouse to name a few. It has elegant décor and allows you and your date to really enjoy the dining experience. You might even run into some celebrities while you're out for the first time.

While probably not the first place you think of, the Metrozoo can be a fun alternative when you're looking for somewhere to go on the first date. The zoo has over 2,000 animals and more than 1,200 plants on the grounds. You and your date can learn about the animals and each other, and even get a chance to feed some of the animals.

What could be more romantic than star gazing? How many poems compare a loved ones eyes to stars? Too many to quote here. But for a long gaze of the starry night reserve the first Friday of every month and head over to the museum. That's when officials open the rooftop observatory and a guide explains the celestial show from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.  The museum also offers a laser light show on the first Friday of every month and and prices range from $8 for adults and $4 children.

For a stroll after dinner or a day to enjoy the sunshine, South Pointe Park offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and on some days many people just sit back and watch the cruise ships sail by. The 17.5-acre public park recently underwent a $22.4 million renovation that included new pavers, serpentine walkways. Couples can admire the new water features or just sit and watch the sunset.

If you can't make it to South Beach, you can always hit up the Las Olas Riverfront. It's a mix of boutiques, shops, restaurants, and is a great place to take a stroll to really get to know your date. You can hit up the river cruise or head to one of the restaurants and nightclubs.
