Search For Clues In Perrine Death Investigation

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A death investigation is underway in Perrine.

Police blocked off an area in the 10-thousand block of West Jessamine Street. Investigators searched the ground for evidence around a body that was covered by a tarp.

According to Miami-Dade police Detective Angel Rodriguez, they received a shotspotter call at 1:42 a.m. When officers arrived they found an adult female who had been shot multiple times.

Police are now trying to determine what led to the deadly shooting.
