Precautionary Lockdown Lifted At Hialeah High

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) - Hialeah High School was placed on precautionary Code red lockdown for about an hour Wednesday morning following a rumor of a possible weapon on campus.

Chopper 4 over the school at 251 E 47th Street spotted a very heavy police presence outside the school.

The lockdown was instituted just before 11 a.m.

Officers inside the school checked and found no credible threat.

The lockdown was lifted just before noon.
