MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A child was killed in a three car accident in northwest Miami-Dade Tuesday morning.

The accident happened at NW 163rd Street and North Miami Avenue.

Carnavil John, who lives in the area, heard the multi-car crash. He said when he went to see what had happened, he saw an SUV rolling over and over.

"I heard something like 'blaw, blaw' and I saw that the car was flipping up," he said.

Miami-Dade police said the child who died, a girl six to eight years old, was in a blue Honda CRV headed westbound on NW 163rd Street. At the intersection, the CRV had a stop sign as did the gray Nissan Altima that was headed eastbound. Investigators are trying to determine how they collided with a black Nissan Maxima that was headed south on Miami Avenue.

The two adults in the CRV were taken to Aventura Hospital in critical condition. The two adults in the Altima were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital North with non-life threatening injuries. The three adults in the Maxima were treated on the scene and then went to Jackson North to be checked out.
