SUNRISE (CBMiami) — Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a baby in Sunrise.

Police responded to reports of a 1-year-old that wasn’t breathing Friday afternoon.

Chopper4 was over the scene at an apartment complex in Nob Hill Road near Oakland Park Boulevard where detectives could be seen going in and out.

Authorities say the child was found in the bathtub of on of the apartments.

Rescue crews rushed the baby to the hospital where the child was pronounced dead.

Officers say it appears to be an accidental drowning but they are still interviewing people in the home with the child.
