NEW YORK (CBSMiami/AP) — Police have set up barricades in front of some of the most expensive stores in New York City as an anti-Donald Trump protest continued along Fifth Avenue.

During the demonstration, documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, who is a Trump critic and recently laid out a 7-step plan on how to take back the country and impeach the President-elect, entered the lobby of Trump Tower with a camera crew in tow and asked to see Trump. He was denied.

Moments later, Nigel Farage, the head of the “Leave” movement that propelled the United Kingdom to exit the European Union, also arrived and was allowed up.

Trump frequently links his campaign to the “Brexit” movement. Farage would not say if he was playing a role in Trump’s transition.

“Just as the Republicans were already planning to do with President Hillary from Day One, we must organize the apparatus that will bring charges against him when he violates his oath and breaks the law — and then we must remove him from office,” Moore said in a statement on his Facebook account.

Other points of contention include dismantling the electoral process, demanding President Obama investigate “who and what was behind FBI Director James Comey’s illegal interference” with the election, and a call to take over the Democratic National Committee.

Moore said Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders deserved an apology from the DNC for “trying to fix the primaries against him, for spinning the press to ignore his historic campaign, for giving Clinton the questions in advance at the Flint debate, for its latent ageism and anti-Semism in trying to turn voters against him because of his age or religious beliefs and for its anti-democracy system of “superdelegates” who are elected by no one.”

Moore concluded that had Sanders been given a fair shot, he would have likely been the Democratic nominee and would have beat Trump in the election.

His fiery speech also called for an opposition movement using young people who “don’t tolerate b.s. and are relentless in their resistance to authority.”

About 2,000 protesters have been marching along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan shouting “not my president” and other slogans. The protesters rallied at New York’s Union Square on Saturday before picking up steam and taking their cause into the street and toward Trump Tower.

Moore’s latest documentary titled ‘TrumpLand’ hit New York theaters on October 18, 2016.
