MIAMI (CBSMiami) – All over South Florida, people are lining up to cast their ballots. And with early voting ending in just a few days, expect a big rush Sunday.

"We're encouraging our voters to take advantage this weekend," said Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections Christina White.

At the library in Downtown Hollywood, many did not expect to see line out the door and down the building.

"It's worth it, it's worth it.  It doesn't matter what, it's worth it," said early voter Rod James.

Statewide, voters are going to the polls in droves.

So far, more than 2.8 million people have voted – more than a third of them are in South Florida.

In Miami-Dade, over 606,000 have early voted, and half a million in Broward.

The Broward Supervisor of Elections office said they're seeing crowds like they saw in 2008.

"If you care, and you care about the issues and the future of this country, you're going to get out here and you're going to vote," said Meyer Grunberg.

Expect to see big crowds on Sunday. African-American churches are working together to bring the "Souls to the Polls."

"I think it has been proven if we galvanize ourselves together that we are a force to be reckoned with spiritually, socially, politically and economically," said Stephanie Russell, pastor of Our Father House of Prayer.

There's a big effort by democrats to get African-Americans to vote early.

In the past two presidential races, black voters came out in force, flexing their political muscle, something many want to see again.

"I think we should decide who's going to decide for us.  And I think that's the most powerful thing that we can do is have the choice to decide who's going to make choices for us," said Cathy Johnson.

The final day to vote early is Sunday.
