POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) -- A Pompano Beach man who felt he was underpaid has admitted to police he stole thousands of dollars worth of pricey electronics from his employer, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

David Anthony Hunter, 27, was arrested Wednesday after 425 pairs of 'Beats by Dre' headphones were discovered stolen, totaling about $40,000 worth of merchandise.

As reported by The Sun-Sentinel, Hunter told officers that he was tired of what he was making at his online retail job in Hollywood. The owner told the newspaper Hunter made $8 an hour labeling packages to be shipped.

Hunter was charged with suspicion of grand theft of more than $20,000 and less than $100,000. He's being held on a $2,500 bond in a Broward County jail.
