Hundreds came out for the free event, presented by Sunshine Health, at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, August 13th, that included health screenings, fitness classes and interactive demonstrations.

Now in its fourth year and previously known as the Orange Bowl Health and Wellness Fair, it aimed to address the health and medical needs of the South Florida community, while encouraging youth and families to improve their eating habits and maintain a physically active lifestyle.
“You get to mingle, meet new people, children playing, you can’t do better than that,” said Sabrina Bryant, who were brought her children Jerome and Aiden along. “It’s a great outing for the kids.”

“It’s great for the community, it’s needed, it’s bringing people together,” said mother Camilla Henry. “It’s a great opportunity for (the kids) to grow.”
