Zimmerman stopped by the Gators Riverside Grill on Sunday to place a take out order. He was reportedly explaining to several other people in the restaurant that he shot Martin in self defense when he was approached by a man, “Eddie,” who asked if he was bragging about it.

When Zimmerman replied ‘no’, Eddie punched him in the face. Zimmerman then called 911.

911 Operator: “What’s going on there?”

Zimmerman: “This man just punched me in the face.”
