MIAMI (CBSMiami) — U.S. Coast Guard crews are searching for a missing boater from Hallandale Beach.

On Thursday, Coast Guard crews searched by air and sea for 53-year old Venice Graham.

Graham left Hallandale Beach around 8 p.m. Wednesday night in a white, 25-foot Hydra-Sport with Florida tag number 7077GE.

He was headed for South Bimini and was scheduled to arrive by midnight but never did.

Thursday around 9 a.m., a friend contacted the Coast Guard advising them he had never made it.

Boaters in the area are encouraged to be vigilant and call the U.S. Coast Guard at 305-415-6800 if they spot him.
