Crews are working on a 42-inch sewer main that broke in the parking lot of George English Park at 1101 Bayview Drive.

The city, along with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, issued a precautionary advisory urging residents to avoid water-related activities in the area, including swimming, fishing, or jet-skiing in the Middle River, Rio Barcelona, Intracoastal waterway and Northern Las Olas Isles water bodies.

Traffic was diverted as water flooded the parking lot and the surrounding area.
