KEY LARGO (CBSMiami) - The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has asked for the public's help in finding a lower Keys man who reportedly stabbed another man in the neck with a broken bottle.

On February 7th, sheriff's deputies were sent to a home on Big Coppitt Key to check out reports of a medical emergency.

When they arrived, they found 39 year old Oleimys Clemente bleeding from a large cut on his neck. Two women – his sister and his ex-girlfriend – were attempting to help him. He was taken to Lower Keys Hospital and then transported to Ryder Trauma Center due to the severity of his injury.

Clemente told investigators he'd been visiting his sister when he was attacked by two men who live on the same property as her. The two men, Yordan Alvarez and Amaury Alvarez, are related to his sister's husband.

Clemente said he'd left his sister's house and was on his way back because he had forgotten his phone there, when he saw the Alvarezs approaching him.

They were angry with him and accused him of "snitching" about something regarding Yordan's girlfriend, said Clemente.

He told the detective that when he told the men he didn't understand what they were talking about, Yordan Alvarez hit him on the head with with bear bottle, which broke and caused a deep cut on his forehead. He then reportedly stabbed Clemente in the neck with the broken bottle.

When he fell to the ground, Clemente said both men began to hit and kick him.

When Clemente's sister ran to his rescue, the Alvarezs took off.

A warrant has been issued for Yordan Alvarez for attempted murder. A second warrant was issued for Amaury Alvarez's arrest on a battery charge.

Anyone with information about Yordan Alvarez's whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers of the Florida Keys at 1-800-346-TIPS. Tips may be made anonymously on line at tipsubmit.com.
