According to Broward Fire Rescue officials, two people were aboard the plane when it was put down east of U.S. 27 and north of Interstate 75.

The jet was identified as an Aero Vodochody L-39C. Its airworthiness is marked “experimental.”
The plane is registered to Jet Fighters International Inc. in Coral Springs.
