GAINESVILLE (CBSMiami) -- Gainesville Police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old student at the University of Florida who fell from the sixth floor of an apartment complex near the campus.
Chance W. Wolf, from Weston, was found unconscious and bleeding around 2 a.m. Sunday, as reported by the Sun-Sentinel.
Officials said surveillance cameras show Wolf on the sixth floor overlooking an interior courtyard in the building, when he fell over the waist-high glass partition and hit the ground.
Chance's father, Rod Wolf, released a statement:
"Chance was a great kid and a great student with tons of friends enjoying college life. He was interning at the local ABC station to get his journalism degree. We will miss him."
Wolf played hockey for his high school team at Cypress Bay. The team tweeted out their condolences.
Today we lost our brother Chance Wolf.
