MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It's a brand known for high fashion style and elegance all under the leadership of the man who created it - Giorgio Armani.

Fifteen years ago the Italian designer turned to home design, creating interiors for buildings in Dubai and Milan.

For the first time ever, in the U.S., Giorgio Armani showed off his home style at Residences by Armani Casa in Sunny Isles Beach.

"What you're seeing now is a fully furnished Penthouse unit. What you see is what you get when you buy a penthouse here," said Gil Dezer , President of Dezer Development.

The 8,500 square foot sales design center just opened this week .

Armani Casa is a partner of Dezer Development and The Related Group in this project. It's all luxury and comes with a luxury price tag. The units are priced from just over $1.8 million to $7 million depending on the square footage.

"We are developing 308 units right here in Sunny Isles Beach that is a building designed by Cesar Pelli and interior designed by the folks at Armani Casa," Dezer explained.

"We will have our restaurant, our own full-fledged spa managed by Armani. A beautiful bar and a huge pool deck and cabanas on the ocean," said Carlos Rosso of The Related Group.

Fabrice Gouffran, the Division Director at Armani Casa, took CBS4's Lisa Petrillo around one of the model units.

The first thing she noticed was the signature Armani rounded edges.

"I'm looking at these rounded edges , that's for a reason?" asked Petrillo pointing out no hard corners anywhere.

"It's a big part of it. It's a round like a wave because it gives you an impression you have when you are in the sea," Gouffran explained.

The kitchen is elegant and clean with onyx floors, marble counter tops, a double sink and oversized wine cooler. There are sliding doors on a track so you can shut the kitchen off from the rest of the space.

The living room, with full views to the water, is huge and designed with custom oversized furniture and warm tones throughout.

There are two entrances to the master closet, which doesn't look like a closet at all. Everything is tucked away and hidden with no clothing exposed.

The master bedroom, with a handmade silk rug opens up to the Atlantic Ocean. It's elegant, spacious and calming.

The master bath is all onyx and all luxury.

The sales unit comes complete with a fabric room where potential buyers can choose any personally curated Armani fabrics for their individual units.

Residences by Armani Casa are already 60 percent sold and that was before the sales center was opened.

The building is scheduled to be fully built by the end of 2018. Click here for more info.
