MIAMI (CBSMiami) — The tables were turned for a robbery suspect who was hospitalized Wednesday after an alleged attack on a gas station customer.

It happened at the Chevron at 9500 S.W. 160th Street in Southwest Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade Police said the victim was pumping gas during the robbery attempt, when the victim grabbed a bottle and was able to beat up the suspect and inflict several wounds.

That suspect was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center.
