BRANDON, Fla. (CBSMiami/AP) — Students at a Florida high school arrived on campus and found a dead deer strung up by its hind leg on the school’s flagpole.
Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the deer, which was discovered Monday morning at Brandon High School near Tampa.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Larry McKinnon says it could have been a school prank.
Deputies say they’re looking to see if video surveillance cameras captured the culprits, who could face trespassing charges if identified.
