Winderman on Whiteside: 'Of Course They Want to Keep Him'
Will the Miami Heat be ready to give Hassan Whiteside a max contract this summer?
"Are you comfortably enough moving forward just with this roster and a subtle addition?" the Sun Sentinel's Winderman says on the Big O Show, "In other words, do you believe that the growth of Tyler Johnson, the growth of Justise Winslow, the roster you have in place probably minus Luol Deng based on where the salary cap is going, will that be enough going forward for two, three, four years? That's how you sort of figure the Hassan Whiteside thing. Of course they want to keep him but it's never as simple as the statistics, it's never as simple as the desire as long as you are in a salary cap league."
