DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins made a roster move on Tuesday, re-signing center Sam Brenner.

To make room on the 53-man roster, Miami has waived running back Jonas Gray.

Brenner has had multiple stints on the Dolphins active roster, as well as on the practice squad, since 2013.

Rookie running back Jay Ajayi was activated to Miami's active roster last week after being on injured reserve- designated to return for the first eight weeks of the season following a rib injury suffered during the Dolphins final preseason game.

Ajayi had a strong NFL debut, gaining 41 yards on five carries for an impressive average of 8.2 yards per run.

Gray finished his Dolphins career with 33 carries for 122 yards.
