MIAMI (CBSMiami) — A homeowner was shot in the abdomen during a robbery Saturday.

A spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department said some time after midnight, the victim, Eduardo Duran, opened the front door and was confronted by two armed men wearing dark clothing.

They pushed their way into the home at 10910 S.W. 244 Terrace, demanded money, and just before they left with the stolen items, shot Duran and fled in a black vehicle.

Duran was taken to Kendall Regional Trauma Center and is listen in stable condition after undergoing surgery.
