MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Dozens of people camped out in front of the Apple store on Miami Beach overnight to be the first in line to buy the new iPhone 6s.

The first person in line told CBS4's Gaby Fleischman that he has been there since Tuesday.

"If you want something you gotta do what you gotta do to get it, right," said Viviana Loaiza who waited patiently with about 100 other people in line.

So what's all the hubbub over a new phone? Apple says the iPhone 6s has 18 new features including stronger glass & metal alloy case, records video in 4K ultra high definition, a better five megapixel front facing camera and faster processing speed.

"I think it is one of the more sizeable upgrades as far as hardware that a lot of people don't know," said Lloyd Pearson. "They just think once you get an iPhone they are all the same."

New phone went on sale at 8 a.m.

"I always am a fan of iPhone products. They always innovate and they always have something up their sleeve that sets them apart from all the other brands," said Matt Werner.

Damalia Williams took a break from her bachelorette party, waking up at 3 a.m. for some bragging rights.

"I've had every single iPhone and I'm an iPhone fanatic," said Williams who picked out the most in demand phone - the new rose gold colored one. "It is gorgeous. I really really love it."

Apple says sales for their latest iPhone may surpass sales of last year's record sales of $10 million during its first weekend.
