Two Charged In Attack On Miami Beach Tattoo Artist

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Two men have been arrested for reportedly beating up and robbing a Miami Beach tattoo artist.

Lian Quintero, 20, and Christian Schiavone, 19, have been charged with aggravated battery and strong arm robbery.

On August 31st just before 5 a.m., a tattoo artist was skateboarding to his home when was approached by a dark-colored SUV.

The men inside the vehicle pulled up beside and asked for a cigarette. The man agreed. The two men then got out of the SUV and started punching him. The man panicked and ran towards a Chevron gas station at 71st Street and Harding Avenue.

The men caught up to him there. The station's surveillance cameras recorded the men kicking him repeatedly, then dragging and punching him several times as he was on the ground. When he got up, he was knocked down and beaten again.

The men eventually stopped, grabbed the artist's back pack and ran back to the SUV and drove off.

Police received a tip which led to the arrests of Quintero and Schiavone. Both men admitted to the beating and robbery, according to their arrest reports.
