MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tonight police on FIU campus are looking for a man accused of crawling under the library table and doing something strange and disturbing to women and their feet.

The wanted man is accused of going into the Green Library on campus and he wasn't interested in the books on the table. Instead, something underneath the table -- a woman's feet and the smell in particular.

In fact, there's a picture of the man in action at the library allegedly smelling feet.

"I hate feet, couldn't imagine someone doing that to me. You would run," said student Arianna Fernandez.

It may seem funny at first but student Gerald Trueblood said, "I think that's pretty insane."

"I think it pretty disrespectful," said Donna llerandi.

Psychiatrists say foot fetishes are common -- and there's nothing wrong with them -- with willing participants.

"I would be less concerned [that] they are aroused by feet and more concerned they couldn't exercise restraint and do it in a public place," said Dr. Daniel Bober.

FIU released this statement:

FIUPD takes these reports seriously. The staff at the library has been asked to contact FIUPD if they see this individual.

"People come here to learn and that's what needs to happen. Stay away from the feet," said Ilerandi.

FIU police asking anyone with info to come forward.
