MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Coral Gables Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 32-year old Jose Guillermo De Angulo.

Police said he reportedly met the girl through social media and lured her to his residence on July 25th.

According to an arrest warrant, De Angulo contacted the 16-year-old victim via Instagram, and "sent several messages to her in an attempt to engage her in conversation and ultimately meet with her."

The warrant says De Angulo, the teenage girl and her friend went out 5 or 6 times, and at one point he "openly questioned her on the subject" of her age.

The victim told police she told the man she was 18-years old , and when he asked again, she "smiled at him. The subject laughed in response."

Police say De Angulo brought the girl to this apartment on Catalonia Avenue on July 25th and had sex with her.

The next morning, the warrant states the victim's sister saw her getting out of De Angulo's car, and police were eventually notified.

"Talk with your teens or children about never going with anyone they have ever met on the Internet," said Coral Gables Police Officer Kelly Denham.

Police are warning parents to monitor what their kids are doing on social media.

Investigators say De Angull drives a white, 2013 BMW M6 convertible, with Florida Tag DKLT76.

Neighbors say they've seen that car, but not lately.

Their reactions to the alleged crime are mixed.

"That's his business," said neighbor Jacob Dunayczan. "It doesn't impact me directly."

"For something like that to happen anywhere is terrible," said neighbor Josh Saval. "The fact that it happened right above me without me even knowing? Sickening."

Once taken into custody, De Angulo will be charged with Unlawful Sexual Activity with a Minor.

Anyone who has seen him or recognizes him is urged to call Miami Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471-TIPS or Coral Gables Police Department's non-regency line at 305-442-1600.
