New Poll Reveals Gimenez Leading The 2016 Mayoral Race

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A new poll shows Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez leading the 2016 mayoral race.

The latest survey by Bendixen & Amandi International showed Gimenez leading over challenger Raquel Regalado.

Regalado is the daughter of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and a Miami-Dade County School Board member.

Of the 600 county voters polled, 40 percent chose Gimenez, and 17 percent chose Regalado

Forty-three percent of respondents opted not to pick a candidate.
