SUNRISE (CBSMiami) – Quite the accomplishment for a teen from Sunrise who has graduated college, two months shy of her high school graduation.

Clara Joseph, on Tuesday, graduated from Broward College.

Joseph took part in a dual high school and college program. She is valedictorian at her high school with a 5.3 GPA.

Joseph said she’s thankful for the program which made her early graduation possible.

“It basically prepared me for a university, I got into great schools such as University of Florida, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Emory, and it just opened so many doors,” Joseph said in her cap and gown.

Joseph will start as a junior at the University of Florida in the fall and plans on staying there for medical school.
