OPA LOCKA (CBSMiami) —  One person is dead after slamming into a car overnight Saturday in Opa Locka.

Miami -Dade Fire officials said the motorcyclist was speeding when it slammed into the passenger side of the car.

The crash caused the motorcycle to explode and catch on fire.

The driver of the car was able to get out and pull the motorcyclist away from the blaze.

Fire officials said the motorcyclist died at the scene.

The driver of the car was taken to Palmetto Hospital. The driver’s condition is unknown.
