Active Search For Missing Boater From Boca Raton

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Officials are searching the waters south of Boynton Beach for a boater gone missing.

The missing boater has been identified as Richard Ohrn of Boca Raton.

On Tuesday, around 4:15 PM, a passing vessel noticed a 19 foot Sea Ray adrift about six miles south of Boynton Beach Inlet.

The boat, with no passengers, was two miles from shore.

The boat that saw the Sea Ray towed it near Harvey Oyer Park. PBSO Marine Unit took over the tow.

Palm Beach Sheriff's Office Marine Unit Deputies, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and Coast Guard Officials are all searching for the missing boater.
