Bocelli, Gibb & Estefan To Perform At Miami Beach Centennial Concert

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – Miami Beach is about to turn 100 years old and its throwing a party with some big name headliners.
Andrea Bocelli, Barry Gibb and local star Gloria Estefan are set to perform at Miami Beach's centennial concert in March.
The free concert on March 26 will also feature Jon Secada, English guitarist and singer-songwriter Dave Mason, Jamaican reggae and hip-hop artist Ky-Mani Marley, jazz flautist Nestor Torres, Miami Beach vocalist Nicole Henry and Jamaican reggae band Third World.
The fun actually starts on Sunday, March 22nd, as the city hosts a 100-hour, non-stop historic festival. Festivities include the world's longest fashion runway, a concourse car show, an astrophysical concert, beachside wedding for 100 couples, naturalization ceremony for 100 new U.S. citizens, and a world-class CAA tennis clinic and exhibition.
The weeklong celebration culminates in the daylong beach concert on Thursday, March 26 that brings awareness to global climate change. "This is how we celebrate!" said Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine. "The historic centennial events celebrate our legacy and mark the start of the next 100 years by increasing awareness for a global climate initiative with Miami Beach, not only rising above but leading the way."
The day-long oceanfront music festival will be located on the sand at 8th Street and Ocean Drive.
Pre-sale ticketing for Miami Beach residents and sponsors for all Miami Beach official centennial events will begin on Tuesday, February 24.
