NORTH MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – Police have identified the body of a woman found dead inside a car parked in a residential neighborhood.

Police said Jezebel Santiago, 24, was found in the passenger seat of a black Volkswagon Jetta parked in a residential neighborhood in North Miami Beach.

Santiago, police said, had last contact with her family on Saturday evening. The car, which was registered to her, investigators believe had been there since Sunday morning.

The car was towed to the Dade County Medical Examiner’s office for further examination.

Police said there were no signs of trauma to her body. The Medical Examiner is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of death.

Investigators obtained a search warrant to examine the contents of her car. Also, as part of a routine, they are examining her background, employment history, friends, and family.

Santiago lived with her grandmother in NE Dade County.
