The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Shawn Fletcher, 30, the alleged shooter from the incident, Monday night in New Jersey.

Security video from the Sept. 13th incident shows Terrance McClendon, 41, getting into a fight with Fletcher and another unidentified man just after 12:30 a.m. at Players Sports Bar and Grill. McClendon would later tell Broward Sheriff’s investigators that he was trying to make room for other patrons in the crowded bar when he got into a shoving and punching match.

Video from inside the bar shows McClendon fight off the initial attack, before he is put into a headlock by one of the men and punched by the other.

Security intervened and asked both attackers to leave.

Fletcher reportedly went to his car, got a black handgun and waited for McClendon to exit the bar.

When McClendon stepped out, Fletcher unloaded on him. McClendon ran across the lot to get away, but Fletcher chased him. One of those shots struck McClendon in the lower back.

McCledon was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where he underwent surgery.

Witnesses said the two men who attacked McClendon drove off in a newer model two-door sports car.

Fletcher has been arrested five times in Broward County since 2010. His past charges include several counts of battery, possession of cannabis, resisting arrest with violence, driving with a suspended license, unlawful speed, burglary and violation of probation.

Fletcher is being held in the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending extradition. His accomplice is still at large.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477).
