TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) — Florida families looking to see if they are eligible for Medicaid will have to put their plans on hold. The website that determines eligibility will be down for repairs starting Friday.

The Department of Children and Families is making changes to the system to comply with guidelines from federal health officials. The website will be offline starting at 7 p.m. on Friday through Monday.

Consumers should complete and e-sign any application started before the scheduled downtime.

DCF is using social media, call center hold messages and sending emails to clients in multiple languages to make sure Medicaid applicants and recipients are aware of the scheduled system downtime.
