MIAMI (CBSMiami) – CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King is a respected journalist and editor-at-large of O, the Oprah magazine. She delivers news to millions of people every day and she's the focus of today's Women to Watch with Trend Tracker® Tara Gilani.

Tara and Gayle met up at Oprah's "The Life You Want Weekend" in Miami. In a specially created O Town, rain dampened no one's spirits, least of all Gayle's.

"I think it speaks to how people love, respect and admire Oprah and she loves, admires and respects them back," said Gayle.

O aside, Gayle was in work mode.

"TV is definitely my first love but I am so proud of what we do at this magazine and 15 years later if you can believe it, it still resonates with women."

Growing up, the woman we love to watch, watched TV news. "The thing we had to do as a family every single night was watch the evening news with Walter Cronkite. That's the way it was. We were a Walter Cronkite household. It's so ironic to me that all these years later I am working at CBS News in the studio where Walter Cronkite's map sits behind me. Wow."

Gayle's love and respect for TV news is unbridled.

"I love that you can go to bed at night, wake up the next day and the world could be totally changed and we get to tell you about it.  What a privilege that is. What an honor that is," she proudly stated.

Gayle is partly famous for having a fully famous BFF in Oprah Winfrey.

When asked about why it's important for women to stick together with their friends to support and inspire one another, Gayle replied in earnest, "This is something very unique about women. I believe this: If you just have one good friend and I'm not saying it because Oprah's my good friend but if you have one good friend who you can trust, who believes in you, who cheers you on, who tells you the truth even when you don't want to hear it, you are a very rich person and women who have that understand the power of that connection."

Gayle King's favorite quote is by Maya Angelou: "People may not remember what you said or did but they will always remember how you made them feel."

In Tara's lightning round, Gayle played along cheerfully and honestly with her fill-in-the-blank questions.

When Tara said, "I am ____?"

Gayle replied, "I am happy."

When Tara asked, "I want ____?"

Gayle's answer was, "I want a better Blackberry."

When Tara said, "I will _____?"

Gayle answered, "I will continue to figure out a way to find the best plan to lose weight for myself."

Tara also asked, "I promise _____?"

Gayle said, "I promise to always be true to myself."

Finally, Tara said, "I wish ____?"

And Gayle responded, "I wish everybody had a significant other that made them happy and supported them, including me."

Tara wrapped the interview with a toast to King, "For all you are and all you do, we celebrate you. Cheers Gayle King!"

Tara's parting thought was to Oprah: "Watch out O," said Tara. "I'm on the hunt for a new BFF. I might try to steal yours."
