MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade County police are searching for the rightful owners of hundreds of stolen goods.

Detectives say during two separate arrests, they recovered more than $100,000 of property stolen from across South Florida--everything from jewelry to baseball cards, designer handbags and even a gym bag filled with Canadian pennies.

On September 4th, Blanco Osorio and Andy Hernandez-Barthelemy were arrested and charged with grand theft and burglary. Through an undercover surveillance operation, detectives say they recovered landscaping equipment, industrial equipment and other  tools.

In an unrelated arrest eight days later, detectives arrested Pablo Cesar Ortiz, Cristian Quiroz-Hernandez and Raudel Del Torro Mejas for allegedly stealing jewelry. Police say they were caught in the act when a neighbor called to report a break in at a home in Southwest Miami-Dade.

"We've been trying to find victims and close cases," said Lt. Leo Arteaga of Miami-Dade Police. "We've been able to close 12 cases to date, burglary to residences and vehicles throughout Dade and Broward."

Now authorities are putting the recovered property on display at Miami-Dade Police Department's Kendall District Station located at 7707 SW 117th Avenue.

Residents who have been victimized have been asked to come forward with their respective case report numbers and identify their items.

"We need assistance from the public to be able to identity other property that we haven't been able to tie down to other burglaries," said Arteaga.

For those who have been burglarized prior to September 2014, call the detective on your case or Miami-Dade Police to schedule a time to come by and see if any of the stolen property belongs to you.

For additional information, residents can contact Detective Klurman at (305) 305-270-3526
