HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami) —  Homestead Police are searching for a driver who hit and killed a bicyclist and sped off early Saturday morning.

Police said 29-year old Joe Edward Torres was riding his bike near the intersection of Krome Ave. and Mowry Drive just before 7:00 a.m.

That’s when a silver or gray small SUV hit Torres then sped off.

Authorities said the car possibly has damage to the front left corner and possibly the hood and windshield.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade crimestoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
