Miami Theater Special Screening Star Wars Film

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Miami Star Wars' fans won't have to look to a galaxy far, far away to get their next epic space fix.

A special screening of "Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion" will premiere at the AMC Aventura 24 theater on Saturday, September 27th.

Freddie Prinze Jr. and the other voice actors of the show will be at the celebratory launch event, as well as some of the show's producers.

Star Wars' characters, face painters and balloon artists will also be there for family entertainment.

Activities begin at 9:30 a.m. and the screening starts one-hour later.

Here is a brief description of the show according to the press release sent to the media:

"The story unfolds during a dark time when the evil Galactic Empire is tightening its grip of power on the galaxy. The motley but clever crew of the starship Ghost -- cowboy Jedi Kanan, ace pilot Hera, street-smart teenager Ezra, the "muscle" Zeb, warrior firebrand Sabine, and cantankerous old astromech droid Chopper -- is among a select few who are brave enough to stand against the Empire. Together, they will face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion."

The film will play nationwide on Disney Channel October 3rd at 9 p.m. It will act as a gateway for the TV series, which premieres on Disney XD on October 13th at 9 p.m.
