Arrest Made In Deadly Dade Hit & Run
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Florida troopers arrested a man in connection to a deadly hit and run in Northeast Miami-Dade earlier this month.
Authorities said Justin Michael Midolo, 35, was driving his black Mercedes when he slammed into a Honda, with 37-year-old Lucia Hernandez inside on September 8th. She died Sunday from injuries sustained in the crash.
Midolo's arrest comes just days after Hernandez's death. Following the crash, she was in "very critical" condition after she was ejected from the car.

Witnesses said the driver of the Mercedes was driving in a reckless manner.
"Speeding and he clearly ran the red light..," said Trooper Joe Sanchez.
The driver of the Mercedes ran away from the crash but authorities said he left so much evidence behind that FHP was able to identify him as Midolo.
Sanchez said Hernandez's death changed the investigation.
Midolo has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death. Troopers said additional charges may follow after a consultation with the State Attorneys' Office.
Authorities said Mr. Midolo had a prior conviction for the same violation several years ago and served 8 years and 10 months in state prison.
He was released from State Prison on May 7, 2009.
