BSO: Man Stabs Roommate To Death In Pompano Beach Apartment

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) – A Pompano Beach man is behind bars after stabbing his roommate to death over the weekend.

Twenty-two year old Samuel Dulavoix and his roommate Rahmil Alexander, 39, had been living together at 3208 Marine Drive for about a year.

Late Saturday night the two got into an argument over money and when things got heated, Dulavoix allegedly stabbed the victim to death, according to Broward Sheriff's Office deputies.

When authorities arrived to the apartment, they found a body lying under a pile of bloody blankets in the doorway. Dulavoix was said to have stabbed his roommate more than 25 times before trying to hide the body.

The Broward County Medical Examiner ruled the case a homicide at the scene and said the victim died of multiple stab wounds.

Dulavoix was taken to Broward Health Imperial Point, where he was treated for superficial cuts to his hands.

He is now in the Broward Sheriff's Office main jail facing a charged of second degree murder.
