MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The weather pattern will remain steamy with afternoon storms through the weekend.

High temperatures will reach the lower 90s with partly sunny skies.

Winds will be generally out of the south and southeast.

Afternoon thunderstorms are likely to develop after 2 p.m. each afternoon and be scattered to numerous around South Florida.

Much of the activity will be centered over the interior areas.

Some storms Saturday could be strong with heavy downpours and intense lightning.

The sea breeze will kick-in through the afternoons providing for better feeling temperatures by the beaches.
