Gov. Scott & Fmr. Gov. Crist Officially On Ballot

TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) — The 2014 race for Governor has several candidates officially on the ballot including Gov. Rick Scott and former Gov. Charlie Crist.

Crist, who was elected as a Republican, is now running as a Democrat. Both Scott and Crist qualified for the ballot Monday.

Attorney General Pam Bondi, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater and Agriculture Commissioner also qualified for re-election. The three incumbents are all Republicans.

Candidates seeking statewide and local offices were allowed to start qualifying at noon. Qualifying closes at noon on Friday.

Judicial candidates and candidates for U.S. Congress have already qualified.

Nan Rich, a former state senator and Democrat also challenging Scott, plans to qualify on Tuesday.

Some candidates will be elected without opposition on Friday.

Others' fate will be decided by voters in the Aug. 26 primary or the Nov. 4 general election.
