DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) –  A tiny kitten had to be rescued after getting stuck inside of a car’s engine compartment.

The little cat started making sounds while the car’s driver was traveling along Federal Highway – a six-mile trip from Fort Lauderdale to Dania Beach.

While the driver could hear the noises, firefighters couldn’t locate anything in the car.

Then, the driver said when she arrived home, she heard the cries get louder.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue members were able to lift the car and locate the little cat.

The kitten is at the Broward County Humane Society where it may be up for adoption said officials.
