MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Everglades National Park will conduct a prescribed burn on Monday morning.
The 1,007 acre burn is scheduled to start at 7: 00 a.m.READ MORE: Panthers Fall To Blues In OT 4-3
The burn will occur near the Daniel Beard and Robertson Buildings, south of Research Road; 3 miles south, southwest of the Royal Palm Visitor’s Center and north and east of the historic Nike Missile Base.

During the fire operations, the Nike Missile Base tour will continue with limited access to the actual site.
The prescribed burn is part of the Hole in the Donut restoration process.
