Louis died at the hospital Friday night, according Miami-Dade Police Department Traffic Homicide Investigators.

Louis, according to his family, had left his house to go to the store around 8 PM. Police said a white minivan hit Louis as he crossed the street–the driver did not stop.

“I just open the door. I see he’s on the floor, he don’t say nothing,” the victim’s wife Marie Nicole Louis said Thursday.
