"Ride Along" Tops Box Office For 3rd Straight Week

LOS ANGELES (AP) — For a third week in a row, "Ride Along" was number one at the box office.

The comedy starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube brought in $12.3 million as it nears a $100 million domestic total, according to studio estimates Sunday.

In the world of animation, Disney's "Frozen," now the fourth highest-grossing domestic animated release ever, is in second place with $9.3 million, with sing-along shows adding $2.2 million. The film has now crossed the $360 million mark domestically. "The Nut Job," also animated, took the fourth-place slot with $7.6 million.

"That Awkward Moment," a Focus Features film, has taken third place in its opening weekend with $9 million.

Universal's "Lone Survivor" stands strong in the fifth slot with $7.2 million, as it notably crosses the $100 million mark, making this Mark Wahlberg's 7th film to cross that milestone.
