LAUDERDALE LAKES (CBSMiami) — Broward Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a deadly shooting in Laurderdale Lakes Sunday.

According to BSO Spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion, a call came in just after 2:00 p.m. of shots fired at a Citgo gas station on 44th street and SR 7.

“Our investigators know that the victim in this case had driven up to the Citgo and was sitting inside his vehicle when someone approached him and fired several times. That person fled the scene,”said Concepcion.

Following the shooting, the victim attempted to drive and managed to drive down ten blocks where he ended up crashing into a median at  NW 34 Street and State Road 7.

The shooting victim was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies are still looking for the gunman.
