Report: Hartline Won't Need Surgery On PCL Tear

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – While much of the NFL received bad news, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline received some welcome news after injuring his knee against the New York Jets.

Hartline had an MRI on Monday that confirmed he has torn his posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. However, he won't need surgery to fix the problem.

According to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald, Harline will spend the next few months rehabbing and strengthening the leg and should be ready for the start of training camp at the end of next July.

Hartline led the Dolphins in 2013 with 76 catches for 1,016 yards. It was his second straight season leading the Dolphins in receptions.
