Weather Delays & Cancellations Plague South Florida Travelers
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A massive winter storm is still causing chaos for travelers at South Florida airports, even as the sun shines brilliantly against blue skies locally.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is currently experiencing flight delays ranging from 30-minutes to three hours, as well as cancellations due to the weather system along the east coast and recovery efforts from the Southwest and Midwest following days of sleet, ice and snow.

As of early this morning through 3:00p.m. Monday, FLL expects to have a total of 28 delays and four cancellations.
Twelve of the delays are for departures and 16 of the delays are impacting arriving flights. The departure cities impacted by delays include: Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Trenton, San Francisco, Raleigh/Durham, Albany, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., Tampa,Toronto and Montreal.
The Arrival delays are from Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Baltimore, Raleigh, Minneapolis, New York City, and Richmond.
Everyone is being advised to check with their carrier before leaving for the airport.
